My neighbor reminds me of those movie characters that go overboard on Christmas lights, but you know the type, they are usually in competition with others around them to prove they can have the most impressive light display around. He spends months before planning plus stringing lights in preparation for the sizable lighting event. This year, I noticed that each time he diagnosed the light display, his power in the property seemed to go out. I figured that he had finally added too many lights plus it was overloading the system! The lights being plugged in were fine by themselves, but, when the system turned on while they were lit, it was tripping the main breaker.
