I recently went on a trip to a nearby amusement park.
We drove about 3 hours to get there & the day was legitimately warm.
When my pal and I arrived my pal and I were told that my pal and I were too early to check in however my pal and I could go & prefer the park while my pal and I waited for our room to be ready. The rest of the group was happy to head to the rides. The park was well known for its numerous roller coasters & the giant water park. We left our belongings in the vehicle & headed over to check things out. I am not a ride man so I basically walked around with most people & watched as they went on numerous rides. The outside temperature along with the acres of blacktop made me feel like I would pass out. I tried to find shade while waiting for the others although I was unsuccessful most of the time. After a couple of hours my pal and I walked back over to the hotel in hopes that our room would be ready. All I could guess about was lying down in my air conditioned room to get a break from the sun. When my pal and I asked the desk clerk about our room he indicated that they were still waiting on housekeeping to finish up. I decided that resting in the lobby was a better option than heading back to the park, however at least I had the benefit of the air conditioning while I waited. Our room was finally set to go & I was so relieved. I spent much of the rest of the day relaxing in my room. Having a cool arena to retreat on holiday makes all the difference in the world.
