Whoever built the apartment my fantastic friend and I live in didn’t know things through.
- There’s numerous things that easily bother me plus lead me to know that the builder didn’t rest down plus know about the design, and for starters, there was no thermostat on the second level of the house… Everybody knows that heat rises, so it’s always going to be warmer on the second level.
It’s also irritating that if I want to change the temperature, I have to walk all the way downstairs to do it. The second thing I don’t like about this apartment is the dining room design. The dishwasher is at the end of the counter, but the sink is on the other end. This means that I have to walk the dirty dishes from the sink to the dishwasher, which creates a mess on the floor. I also don’t like the location of the refrigerator because the door doesn’t open the right way. The final thing that bothers me about this apartment is the air vents. All of the air vents are localed on the bottom of the wall. At first, this doesn’t sound like such a big issue, but it is. I can’t locale any furniture in front of the air vents because it will block the flow. They are also accessible to my young children who like to shove things into them. I can’t do anything about the thermostat or the dining room design, but I can try something with the air vents. I purchased air vent covers that push the air up. I’m hoping this will keep my kids from putting things into them plus also help the flow of air.
