I'm not sure about washable air conditioner filters

They have to have a particular amount of space in between the particle filter particles so that water can get through & you can actually clean them out

I understand the need to find things that are reusable so you’re not constantly throwing junk in the landfill. I guess it’s a smart thing to use reusable plates & cups instead of paper plates & bowls. The same goes for cutlery & utensils. Some people do not have dishwashers in their house so it’s a pain in the ass to constantly clean plates & metal utensils throughout the afternoon, however for me, I just throw all my dirties into my dishwasher & run a load once it’s full. But if I was residing in an home with no dishwasher, I could understand why some people reach for disposable utensils & cup plates. But there are some things that I am not so sure are reusable or meant to be recoverd. There are washable air conditioner filters that are available these afternoons & some people swear by them. But the problem is that these washes aren’t that good at even filtering dust. They have to have a particular amount of space in between the particle filter particles so that water can get through & you can actually clean them out. Because of this, a lot of dust goes straight through the washable air conditioner filter. A lot of people talk about having those greater coils covered in dust because their filters were working. I know it’s extravagant to buy disposable air conditioner filters, although I guess it’s a product that needs to be disposable! Unless you can use a vacuum to clean out a disposable filter, just go & buy a brand up-to-date one from the store & call it a afternoon.
