I cherish reptiles for whatever reason.
I grew up looking at books on lizards and snakes, wondering whether or not I would become a zoologist someday.
I constantly wanted a lizard as a pet because my parents wouldn’t allow me to have one. Now that I look back, I believe it’s because my parents did not want to deal with the odor! Even if you scrub the cage constantly, the critter has to go to the powder room just as much as a human being. So its cage eventually starts to odor, and then that odor permeates the rest of the house. I do not own a lizard right now, even though I live in an home that isn’tan area with lots of wild lizards outside. Most of our lizards are tiny though. I have one lizard that enjoys to climb on the outside of my window air conditioner. He seems to live on the machine and then climbs onto the window above. Hopefully he does not ever get hurt on the window air conditioner. I do not want him to climb into the fan assembly for the compressor. I do not mind the lizard residing on my window air conditioner as long as the lizard does not get hurt in the process. I do not even know how dangerous it is for the lizard to be near the fan for the compressor inside. If I was a lizard, I’m not so sure I would want to go near a big machine like a window air conditioner. Especially if I thought I could get harmd in the process. This is the result of residing in an area that has lots of lizards residing outside.
