He was an HVAC technician when he was younger, but ever since he crushed his hand, he hadn’t touched it. When our air conditioning unit won’t turn on, my husband called the HVAC to get it repaired. When he hung up, he was just staring at me. I wanted to know what he had found out. He said that what he found out was that the HVAC company had closed. I thought he was kidding at first, but I saw the look on his face. What were we going to do without an HVAC company in the area? My neighbor was in a tizzy when she found out. She didn’t know what to do if something happened to her air conditioning. Before long, the entire area was buzzing about the lack of an HVAC company. My husband didn’t want to go back to work, but if it was a necessity, he would help our new neighbors. The six months for recuperation from his tragic action was no longer possible. Once he found out no one wanted to buy the old HVAC, he decided to buy it. He said owning an HVAC company wasn’t the same as working for one.
