Some heating repair jobs are more demanding than others

An aged antique shop down the street was under renovation.

It was about time they used that space since the shop had closed for nearly two years.

I labor for a cabin services company as an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C tech, and the realtor for the shop called asking for heating repair. I knew the shop would need expansive heating repair because I doubted anyone had bothered to check the heating unit when it was closed. I carried all the necessary tools because I knew I had plenty of labor ahead of me. I contemplated asking a fellow Heating, Ventilation plus A/C serviceman to accompany me, but all were in the field. When I arrived, the boiler was in disarray, just as I had anticipated. It was clear from the digital temperature control that they had switched off the unit, but it must have been running for a while, even after the shop was closed before they switched it off. I have worked in the heating industry for years, but the state of the filter was rare. It had all manners of grime and filth. The heating replacement surprisingly did not have a lot of technical complications. An inspection of the ductwork proved that it required cleaning. It also needed duct sealing. I completed the labor in time for my next appointment, servicing a heat pump my buddy and I had installed some years back. The owners took wonderful care of it and subscribed to our texts to get information on the latest trends in heating technology, and as their heating dealer, my buddy and I constantly supplied them with the information they needed.
