This year for our anniversary, our fiance and I decided to go to a hotel for two evenings alone, but my mom and dad took all of the kids for the weekend.
The kids went to their house and we locked up our place like Fort Knox.
All of us drove into the neighborhood to stay at a hotel with genuinely nice amenities like an indoor pool, room service, and a jacuzzi tub. I was looking forward to our weekend away without the kids. My wife was worried about having all the kids with my mom and dad for the whole weekend. After I finally convinced our fiance that she was over worrying, we drove to the hotel. That guy at the front desk was genuinely nice and considerate, but when he found out that we were there to celebrate our anniversary, he updated our room to a suite. Unluckily, the room wasn’t everything that we hoped. The water glasses in the bathroom were dirty, but that wasn’t the worst part about the room. The worst section was the fact that the wall heating and air conditioning device was disgusting. The wall heating and air conditioning device was filled with dirt, dust, and pet hair. I could see all of the gross, disgusting grime inside of the machine. I called the front desk to inform the guy about the condition of the HVAC unit, and he offered to send a maintenance guy to clean and we asked if they could wait until the next afternoon when we’re going to be gone for the afternoon.
