What I want to discuss is making your HVAC device as efficient as it can be.

My education when it comes to the air quality of our beach condo started shortly after the pandemic started.

• When our partner and I got sent beach condo from working inside the zone controlled HVAC of our respective offices, I knew it was serious.

Prior to being sent beach condo to labor from the a/c in our home, I didn’t take Covid all that seriously. And besides, we’d been through this before only to see the last viral threat peter out. But when companies are closing offices and laying off people, you best pay attention. So that’s when I started to learn about what I could do to strengthen the immune systems of me and our partner. Since every one of us were in our mid 50’s, every one of us weren’t taking any chances. In fact, every one of us only left the security of our own a/c to go get groceries. And that was super early in the day to avoid people. When I ran across information stating how important fantastic air quality was to our immune health, I kept reading. That led me to other information and it was clear that every one of us could take steps involving our HVAC device to protect our health. The first thing every one of us did was to update the cheap air filters with the HEPA filters. These things trap and remove more than 99 percent of airborne contaminants. Then, every one of us saved up for close to a year in order to have the whole beach condo air purification system installed inside our HVAC unit. We now have the best air quality possible and our immune systems thank us.

And if the pandemic taught myself and others anything, it’s to slow down a bit & not take on too much.

I l earned this after the office with the zone controlled HVAC was closed due to the pandemic. This forced myself and others to learn to work from beach new home in my own a/c however it had further reaching implications as well. I found out pretty quick that I had been way overloaded due to my inability to say no. Whether it’s to my family, friends or employers, I tend to stretch myself to thin in order to please or help others. That’s perhaps an admirable quality on some levels however it comes with a setback. The setback is that I tend to end up with too much to get done & not enough time or energy. During the pandemic, while I was laboring from the a/c of home, so much of that other stuff fell away because both of us were sort of locked down. And I remember thinking that I needed to maintain a level of less is more when it comes to obligations as nothing was falling through the cracks. Obviously, I didn’t hold to that as I was so busy this past fall that I didn’t get the HVAC service done. So of course, the gas gas furnace quit in the middle of the night which required an emergency HVAC repair call. That stung as it was both luxurious & the HVAC professional confirmed that the concern would have been caught during the HVAC service.

I’m not 1 for change.

Often, I even view beneficial change as something a bit more than what I can take.

Being a creature of habit, when my structure gets interrupted or changed, I tend to resist or go straight for denial. Neither of those plans is a nice 1. So when the HVAC corporation told myself and others that the HVAC device was in need of an replace, I didn’t take it well. First, this statement from the HVAC professional caught myself and others by surprise. How that happened is another example of subconsciously burying my head in the sand. I was completely aware that we’d been in our new home for more than more than one decades. Thus, I knew for a fact that both of us had the HVAC unit installed just after both of us obtained the house. In fact, it was area of the negotiations for buying the house. But I just clogged out the fact that the HVAC unit doesn’t last forever. I’d consistently gotten the necessary seasonal HVAC service & both of us never had an HVAC issue of any kind. When I got the news that the HVAC device was on its last legs, I initially wanted to guess something else & resisted talking with the HVAC corporation. My fiance wasn’t having any of that though as she faces challenges head on. The new residential HVAC has been installed & it is amazing. Not only was it not a hassle, it barely interrupted my routine at all. So guess myself and others when I say not to fear having the HVAC unit replaced as it will only be a nice thing.

It’s just so aggravating when you do what you’re supposed to do & find that this just isn’t nice enough. I came from a pretty conventional household. My Dad & dad gave a charming beach new home with good quality heating & air. They were both attentive & supportive when it came to helping myself and others along life’s path. Yet, they were both of the sort who did things the traditional way. They both worked long hours inside the zone controlled HVAC of their respective offices. But neither were all that happy with what they were doing for a living. Still, in their minds, that was the right thing to do. So I naturally aligned with that sort of lifestyle. I went to university & spent several years in a dorm with radiant heating that could run you out of the arena in the Winter time it was so warm. And then, I got a task in my field & started saving my money to own my own home. Well, the rules of the game changed & the more money I saved, the further away it seemed I was from owning a home. I was so wanting to build equity while also living somewhere I could appreciate nice residential HVAC. Eventually, I had to get creative & go against tradition to make that happen. I ended up pooling resources with friends to buy a beach new home together. It’s a important several story arena & both of us all have our own floor with ductless heat pumps as our living space. Sharing a family room is no important deal & actually adds to the experience. From here on, I’m going to be much more willing to follow a weird path to get where I want to go.
