We've finished sledding and are burning wood again in the fireplace

I have discovered that there are different levels of cold.

In my beach town, you need a thick sweater under your light coat, and on the mountain, you need very heavy clothes under a big ski jacket with gloves. After being out there for a little too long today, my nose is still cold. I had a lot of fun sledding down the mountain today, but wow was it cold! As we looked at the thermometer when we came in, it said 30F in the cabin, so we are making a fire in the fireplace and turning on the space heaters. For now, we’re still wearing our ski jackets until the temperature rises above 55 degrees. I like the cold weather, but having to rely on central heating units and fires all of the time can get costly. Except for those really cold nights that go below zero in my beach town, I don’t really have to run the heat at all. Unlike the cold nights we have here in the mountain cabin, we have a good HVAC system and our furnace can heat up the flat within 15 minutes or so. After having a cup of tea, I will return to my work on these HVAC technology articles.
