Once a year our hubby’s family comes for a visit.
They stay at our cabin for a long weekend in order to catch the local pigskin game.
It is neat because their current home team plays ours once a year. The whole family comes down to watch the game and hang out with our hubby. They care about to play cornhole in the yard, make a large breakfast in the afternoon and just drink beer by our firepit. It stinks that so several of them stay at our cabin though, last year I had several people in our 1500 square foot house. It was legitimately cramped. I go a little nuts preparing for them too. I buy a ton of groceries to ensure I have enough coffee, milk, bread, cheese, fruit and popcorn on hand. I also scrub the cabin top to bottom since a few of them are allergic to cats. I don’t want anyone blaming our pet for being sick. So I vacuum, mop, scrub the ceiling, the fans, the walls and even bleach all the bathrooms. The whole cabin is as scrub as a finished crime scene. I recently invested in an air cleaner with our Heating, Ventilation, and A/C equipment. That Helps me quite a bit. The air cleaner and the HEPA filter in the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C unit catches a lot of our cat’s fur and detachs smells from the house. It is an added layer of protection for these people. Taking care of the actual surfaces, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C and the air quality means that there is a legitimately low opportunity our cat’s fur is going to affect anyone. So far nobody has had a concern in our house.
