I waited almost an hour after the three-hour window ended for the HVAC technician to arrive, but he didn’t.
I knew the weather was horrendous, and I was hearing about collisions all over the area. Snow was coming down so fast, the snowplows couldn’t keep up with it. We already had two feet of snow on the ground, and it was to continue throughout the night. I called the HVAC company and asked if they had heard from the HVAC technician. I wasn’t worried about my furnace, because it had this problem for almost a week. I was worried about something happening to the HVAC technician. She told me they had recently heard from him. A snowplow dumped their snow on top of the service van. He had to stay inside while they dug him out. I wasn’t sure if he was all right, but I knew where he got to. I also knew he was safe. Now I was angry that the HVAC company hadn’t called to tell me he wouldn’t be here, or to make an appointment for the following week. Although my furnace had been making the same noise for over two weeks, I wanted the furnace repaired before it broke down completely. I understand there was a tremendous storm and the HVAC technician was snowbound, but now they need to make an appointment for me. They also need to make sure the HVAC technician arrives on time. I’m not happy with what has happened. I have always used this HVAC company, and I don’t want to change, but it may be necessary.
