The brain prefers organizing things based on comparisons and ease

Changing mindset can make such a big difference in the way we approach and use Heating and Air Conditioning cooling.

But then again, we’re often surprised how a change in perspective and focus can offer tremendous upsides.

Getting stuck in certain mindsets is pretty easy for us humans to do over and over again. Our brains want to plan things based on comparisons and little effort. Or at least that’s the way we see it. That’s why when it came to the air conditioning once we moved down south, our brains sort of took over the strategy separate from us doing much thinking on it. Where we came from there was Heating and Air Conditioning cooling as part of the overall central air conditioning in our home. Yet, it was the gas furnace that was the primary function when it came to the heating and cooling. There were about 8 weeks a Summer where the Heating and Air Conditioning cooling really came in handy. But outside of that, we just didn’t use much air conditioning. So when we moved down here, our brains just decided that since there was loads more heat after that we needed loads more Heating and Air Conditioning cooling. It took us 2 years to rethink the way we were approaching Heating and Air Conditioning cooling. And really, all it took was having someone else help us see a completely new perspective. A local neighbor of ours suggested that we just deal with the heat instead of pumping more air conditioning into our life. More air conditioning made the heat just seem worse. So that’s what we did. We waited until almost Summer to turn on the air conditioning and then, we kept the thermostat setting much higher. The results were amazing.
