Back home in my beach town I don’t really have to run the heat at all except on those really cold nights that go below zero
There are different levels of cold I have discovered. We have cold nights in my beach town where you have to wear a thick sweater under your light coat, and then there are cold nights on the mountain where you need very heavy clothes under a big ski jacket with gloves. My nose is still cold from being out there for a little too long today. We did some sledding down the mountain today and had a lot of fun, but wow was it cold out there! We are making a fire now in the fireplace and have even turned on the space heaters in each room, as we looked at the thermometer when we came in and it said it was 30F in the cabin here. I think we will be warm here within an hour or so, so for now we are still wearing our ski jackets till the temp gets above 55F. I like the cold weather, but having to rely on central heating units and fires all of the time can get costly. Back home in my beach town I don’t really have to run the heat at all except on those really cold nights that go below zero. We have a good HVAC system and our furnace can heat up the flat within about 15 minutes or so, a far cry compared to the crazy cold nights we have here in the mountain cabin. I am going to grab a cup of tea and then come back and finish my work with these HVAC technology articles.
