In just a couple of weeks, my mom is going to be moving in with us.
She has had some minor surgery, and she just needs a place to stay for a while while she recuperates.
I think that everything will be fine with her living with us, but I am a little bit worried about the fact that she likes to keep the heating settings at her house a lot warmer than we do here. My mom is one of those people who is always cold. We always make fun of her because she is always wearing a big fuzzy sweater or a giant coat around, even in the summer sometimes! My husband and I and our kids are not that way at all. We tend to keep the temperature settings in our house around 65 degrees year round. We like it cold. That is why I am concerned about my mom coming to stay with us. I am afraid that she is just going to be freezing cold the whole time that she is here. Also, my mom is a little bit sneaky so I know that she’s going to sneak and try to turn the thermostat levels up whenever we are not home. Normally that would not bother me, but I just recently got my smart thermostat settings just the way that I want them. If she messes around with the thermostat then I’m afraid that it will mess up my heating and cooling plan. That will cause a domino effect and it will affect our heating and cooling bills!
