When my furnace went out, I had to have it fixed ASAP.
I called the HVAC company and told him what was going on.
I had a hydroponic garden in my basement, and I needed the heat to keep the plants alive. The woman at the HVAC company started asking me all kinds of questions about hydroponic gardening. She wanted to know what I was growing, and if I was selling, or if it was just for my use. I told her I had a large room where I grew lettuce all year round. I also grew spinach, which I sold to the local restaurants. We talked for almost an hour before she told me they had an HVAC technician there, and he was already on the way. She asked if she could come by the house and check out my garden. The only thing I could say was that it better be soon. If the HVAC technician wasn’t here soon to fix my furnace, there would be no hydroponic garden. Ten minutes later, the HVAC technician was at the door. It didn’t take him long to repair the furnace and get heat into the basement. There was some wilting, but not enough to deem the crop as destroyed. I knew I would lose a couple of plants, but mostly, my harvest was going to be good, and the restaurants would have lettuce and spinach. Thanks to the HVAC company and their technician, I would not lose any money. Two days later, the secretary at the HVAC company was in my home and checking out my hydroponic garden.
