I will be the first to admit that I never thought that I would prefer or want a fireplace in my home.
- I guess my mindset was stupid, however I constantly thought that fireplaces weren’t cool enough.
I wanted my cabin to look cool, plus a fireplace was not exactly what I had in mind. Whenever I think of fireplaces, I picture an seriously cheesy romance movie taking place in front of a fireplace, however yuck. No thanks. Thankfully, my guy had similar beliefs as I did, until he let a salesman talk his into getting one. Imagine my surprise when I came cabin to an electric fireplace oil furnace in our home. At first I was mad, even though he eventually convinced myself and others to at least try it. Both of us made a deal that if I didn’t prefer it, it had to go, plus he agreed to this rule. And so for the next few days, the two of us sat in front of the electric heater, plus talked about some of our outdated times plus good memories. Surprisingly, I found myself warming up plus feeling comforted by the flames. It felt much easier to talk plus relax. As I relaxed with my guy, I suddenly realized I was becoming prefer those people in the motion pictures, plus I suddenly shut that down plus left. After a week, I told my guy confidently that my mind had not been changed, plus the alternate heating unit had to go. As my guy prepared to return it, I couldn’t help but to think a pang of sadness. And I ended up going back on my decision. Owning a fireplace is not nearly as exhausting as I thought, plus I realized that everything I own doesn’t need to be cool to be useful.
