Back when I was a kid, I would talk to anyone at any time.
That included any of the repairmen who would come over to our house to work on things for us.
My mom and dad always told me that I would talk to anyone at any time. I guess that’s a good thing for me now, since I’m a salesman and I find it very easy to talk to anyone these days. However, back when I was a kid my parents said that sometimes it really got out of hand. My mom always tells me about this one day that there was an HVAC technician at our house working on our furnace. When I was a kid, we had this really old oil furnace that was always breaking down. My parents basically had the HVAC company on speed dial by this point and so they called them to make an appointment to do it yet again. I remember the day that this happened because I was so excited about the fact that the HVAC technician was coming to the house. I always wanted to talk to the repairmen and look at all of their tools and find out what they were doing. I think that I probably learned more from that kind of thing than I ever learned when I was going to school as a kid! I think that talking to HVAC repair guys when I was little probably had a lot to do with the fact that I became an HVAC professional myself as an adult.
