I’m getting ready to substitute the heating and cooling device in our home.
This will be the third time I’ve done that.
I moved out here nearly 30 years ago. It was our desire to live outside the neighborhood for the first time in our life. I was a really young guy of thirty with a fantastic task inside the commercial heating and air conditioning of a downtown office building. But having grown up in loft buildings as a kid, I actually wanted to live outside the city. So I moved here when it was still a little hamlet nearly another third out of the city. The condo I found was a little starter condo that I’ve added onto over the years. The property I own is just perfect and moving from it has held zero appeal. Adding on to the condo a few years ago came with some ductless heat pumps. I propose to keep those ductless heat pumps and put 1 in the garage and basement for some quality heating and air in those spaces. But with the current residential heating and air conditioning system, there will be a current air duct. The old air duct is riddled with gaps that make it terribly inefficient. Since there will be current air ducts everywhere in the house, I’ll use those ductless units elsewhere. It’ll be wonderful to have zone controlled heating and air conditioning in our house now. And it’s even better that I have the heating and air conditioning supplier I’ve used since I came out here doing the work. They’ve consistently been wonderful and they are taking care of all the details with this residential heating and air conditioning upgrade in our home.
