Don’t forget the air ducts this spring

But it also helps to maximize the efficiency of the HVAC equipment because it stops the leaks from wasting energy

It’s always a little bittersweet when the spring comes rolling around. I love watching things green up and the abundant sunshine. However, I know that the heat season isn’t too far away. Where I live, we have mild winters where the heat pump essentially gets almost 4 months off. We just don’t have too much need for HVAC heating so the heat pumps stay quiet. But once the spring hits, the chorus of heat pumps cranks back up in the neighborhood. That means the perfect weather of winter is done and it won’t be long before HVAC cooling dominates our lives. This year, in addition to the air conditioning tune-up I always get, I decided to add an HVAC service to the mix. I chose to have the air ducts cleaned this year. Actually, I’ve been meaning to do this for many years but simply kept putting it off. So when I got the coupon for ductwork cleaning and ductwork resealing in the mail, I went for it. The HVAC company was able to accommodate me with the date and time of my choosing. And I was just so impressed with these HVAC professionals. The HVAC technicians were just so careful inside my house as they went about the ductwork cleaning. And yet, they were also so thorough with the ductwork cleaning and then the ductwork resealing. The ductwork resealing is a key part of the process. This helps reduce the amount of dirt, dust and grime to get back into the HVAC air ducts. But it also helps to maximize the efficiency of the HVAC equipment because it stops the leaks from wasting energy. I’m very pleased with the process and will be adding ductwork cleaning to the spring routine.
