When she was called with news of the accident, Claire felt her whole life turn upside down. It had always been the two of them ever since she was a baby. Her mom passed away while giving birth to her. Instead of giving her to her grandparents, Claire’s dad rose to the challenge and raised a phenomenal girl. Now she was running their family business as her dad took a back seat to relax. Claire had no plans to let her dad return to his house until she was sure he was fully recovered. He tried to resist but ultimately gave in to his daughter’s wishes. Claire drove home slowly as they both enjoyed the air conditioning in her lovely SUV. It was midsummer, and temperatures were so high. Claire looked forward to turning her cooling unit once she got to her house to make it comfortable for them. But, she was in for a rude shock when they were just settling in. For some reason, the cooling unit stopped working. Claire had no experience working with HVAC systems, so she called the AC worker to come to check out the situation. A brief assessment of Claire’s cooling unit revealed that the cooling unit compressor had overheated. The cause of this was a refrigerant leak due to cracks on the refrigerant lines. Lucky for Claire, the AC worker managed to seal the lines to prevent further leaks. After that, he carefully topped up the cooling unit with refrigerant, which started cooling the house once more.
