I couldn’t think it when my hubby told me he had bought a beach house for us.
How multiple couples buy a beach house without each member of that couple having seen it? I questioned him, wanting to assume why he would do such a thing without talking to me? He said the beach house was a bargain and if he hadn’t bought it right away; the owner was going to sell it to someone else.
Apparently, the beach house was a bargain because it needed some work. He said the owner still lived in the house, but it was too sizable for him. If the owner was still living there, it had to be in fantastic shape. Hadn’t it? He had already paid for the house, and we were heading north to our current beach house the next day. I thought the beach house was adorable when we laid eyeah on it. It was a perfect Gingerbread house, and just what I had regularly dreamed of! My hubby asked if I was disappointed and I said I wanted to hold out on my opinion until we were inside, and once inside, I looked around and asked where the air conditioning component was. I wanted to turn it on because it was so stuffy inside. I asked again about the control component and the air conditioning. He shrugged and said, ‘about that…’. I cringed; Nobody wants a beach house without Heating and A/C, except my hubby. The first thing we had to do was install heating, ventilation, and A/C, because I wasn’t living in a beach house that didn’t have air conditioning when it was 90 degrees outside.
