Barefoot this winter time thanks to geo heat pump

I have to say, if you have to live with a cold winter, radiant floor heating is the way to go.

That is understating it by a mile. In fact, after nearly 2 decades of living up here, this winter time was bliss. And that all thanks to the entire geothermal heat pump we have in our current house; because prior to us building our current home, heating consistently came from a gas fuel furnace. But the gas fuel furnace dying and us wanting to build a condo happened at just the same time. That’s how we were able to afford having a geothermal heat pump in our current locale. My friend and I shelled out a large amount, more than we wanted to upgrade the residential heating and air conditioning in our old house. But the realtor assured us that we’d be happy with the outcome because of the value it would add to our home. He was entirely right about that. My friend and I got above the asking price for our old locale. And with that, we upgraded to the geo heat pump. A normal heat pump just wouldn’t be efficient enough to actually sizzle a condo this far north. But the geothermal heat pump uses the near constant temperature of the earth to extract heating energy. That heating energy is then transferred to us via the radiant floor heating. I swear, I don’t really think I wore our shoes many times thus far this winter. It will be interesting to see just how low the air conditioning bills are this summer. My friend and I also love the geo heat pump.
