This is the time of year when most of us reflect on our lives and on the past year, as all of us look forward to the modern year to come.
I try to honestly have this positive attitude all year long separate from waiting until the end of the year.
This year, though, I have discovered something that I consistently take for granted but now I am keenly aware that I am grateful for. As all of us enter this chilly spell, I am thankful for wonderful Heating. I live in a rented townhouse, and I am easily lucky in that my landlord has chosen not to increase the rent in numerous years. In fact, I had a roommate at one time, who passed away, and at that time my landlord reduced the rent. Anyway, it is not every landlord who makes sure that the HVAC systems in their rental machine are top-notch. Now I will disclose that this is not the most high-priced heating and cooling system in the world. In fact, I suppose it is on the less high-priced side as far as HVAC systems go. Nonetheless, my landlord does listen to me and if there is a concern with the A/C or the heater, he will take immediate measures to make sure that the HVAC company is called and any repairs that are necessary are made. I am extremely thankful for having a roof over my head and for that roof having a wonderful HVAC system, but especially now, when the temperature control reads in the twenties in the middle of the morning, I am thankful for wonderful Heating.
